Bishops Printers has been a family run business based in the water front city of Portsmouth since 1985. From humble beginnings with just three people in a garage and a small two colour printer, we now employ over 180 people at our 85,000 square foot facility.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship
Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week we offer state of the art B2 lithographic and digital printing as well as machine and hand finishing, all underpinned with a next generation print management system.
We offer print solutions from a small batch of leaflets to thousands of brochures or reports, and handle everything is in-house; graphic design, printing, binding and mailing in a seamless end-to-end solution, all under one roof.

Environmentally Sensitive Printing
- We only use FSC® certified paper. We are also FSC licensed FSC-C141091.
- We’ve installed 1,500 solar panels on our 85,000 sq ft roof for sustainably energy.
- We’ve cut our make-ready paper waste by a third because we chose to invest an extra £250,000 in Inpress Control for our 10-colour presses.
- Our house stock does not use chlorine in the bleaching process and is produced by one of the most energy efficient, environmentally sound mills in the world.
- We recycle all our waste: aluminium plates, metal ink tins, plastic ink cartridges, the ink itself, cardboard and plastic wrapping.
- We have installed 3 electric vehicle charging points and are transitioning our delivery fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles, where commercially viable.
