Recognised as Heidelberg’s number one B2 litho print operation in Europe, and one of the UK’s top 100 printers, our Print Team has a rare vacancy for a calibre print professional to join their ranks.

Experienced in running Heidelberg 10 colour XL and Heidelberg 5 colour SX machines, our successful candidate will have a real passion for print and a sense of pride in the work they produce. They’ll enjoy working in one of the most modern, well maintained, and clean factories of any litho printer.

Working 12-hour shifts covering day and nights, this Portsmouth-based opportunity comes with free onsite parking and a highly competitive salary.

Finishing Operators

We have one of the most extensive and well-equipped finishing departments of any printer we know in the South of England. Our trio of saddle stitchers includes 2 state of the art Müller Martini Primera MCs, supported by 15 Stahl folding machines and 4 guillotines. Die-cutting is a Bishops speciality. We run a BOBST SP76 forme-cutter and creaser, and Heidelberg Cylinder forme-cutters and creasers.

To expand our production capacity, we are now recruiting for the following Finishing Operators to work a 2-week continental day shift:

  • Bindery Operator (preferably with 1 year experience operating Muller and Heidelberg stitching machines).
  • Die-cutter / Cylinder Operator (preferably with Heidelberg Cylinder and Laminator experience). Training will be provided for Moll and BOBST Cylinders.
  • Folder / Guillotine Operator.

Warehouse Operative

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our excellent team. This is a fundamental role in the Print Department that will suit a highly organized and team spirited individual, able to work independently with 100% commitment.

The successful candidate will be working in a busy production environment preparing and unloading shipments, checking and preparing paper pallets for print, handling and co-ordinating waste and recycling, assisting with stock control, and helping to maintain and improve warehouse and production efficiency.  A valid forklift license would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

Our new recruit will be someone that takes pride in being part of a highly successful print team and the contribution they make to it. Business Development Executive

You will be joining a commercial team that is proud of its reputation for friendly and approachable, tailored client service. You'll need to be outgoing, highly organised and motivated to deliver outstanding customer service. You must be able to work well under pressure, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, to deadlines.

You will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar role, coupled with strong IT skills that include working with a CRM system.

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients who have requested a quotation.
  • Receive warm incoming new business leads and be responsible for conversion and growth of these accounts.
  • Re-stimulate relationships with clients that haven’t spent in the last 6 months.
  • Ensure all areas of the business are promoted - design, print and mailing.
  • Give advice, ensuring the best project outcomes for clients, whilst maximising revenue.
  • Follow up and convert estimates into orders.
  • Analyse and understand client spend patterns to facilitate planning to increase conversion.
  • Build and grow relationships over the telephone and via email, in collaboration with the account management team.
  • Be responsible for meeting client conversion targets.
  • Share responsibility for achieving sales revenue against target.
  • Be accurate and detailed when handing information over for orders to be booked in.
  • Contribute to a work environment that takes pride in being part of a winning team.
  • Keep accurate records and schedule activity using Workbooks CRM system.

Junior Account Manager

You will be joining an account management team that is proud of its reputation for friendly and approachable, tailored sales account management. To fit in, you'll need to be outgoing, highly organised and motivated to deliver outstanding customer service. You must be able to work well under pressure, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, to deadlines.

You will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a sales environment, or a degree in business (or similar subject). You will be confident using Microsoft Office and preferably have experience using a CRM system. You must be a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and excel in all areas of a sales related role.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Proactively liaise with clients and manage their print and mailing projects.
  • Analyse quotation trends with a view to improving conversions with clients.
  • Develop strong product knowledge and consumer awareness
  • Meet all assigned goals and KPI’s.
