Graduate Trainees

Are you a creative and dedicated graduate with a keen eye for detail? Would you like to work for one of the south coasts leading local businesses?

The Graduate Trainee Programme would suit graduates from a business or creative background looking for a varied introduction and an opportunity to progress into other areas of the business.  Applications are also welcomed from candidates who have a background in customer service. No previous experience in print is required as full training will be provided. To be considered for the role, you will:

Account Managers

We are currently seeking proactive, motivated and ambitious B2B Account Managers who possess a confident professional telephone manner and an understanding of business development in a dynamic cutting-edge print business.

As a Bishops Account Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing and developing an existing client base. On a daily basis this will involve:

  • Following-up incoming enquiries and sales leads, and dealing with in-bound and outbound telephone calls
  • Efficient use of CRM, accurate record keeping and task management
  • Processing orders and monitoring print job progression
  • Achieving set targets and KPI’s

Experienced (Print) Estimator - Bishops Printers

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Print Estimator looking to re-establish their career, working within the Estimating department of a dynamic cutting-edge B2 & Digital printing business.

The Estimator role would suit somebody with previous Print Estimating experience, seeking a fast-paced position, working within a strong team, having high attention to detail, with good internal and external communication skills being key.                                                                    

Ideally you will be conversant with Optimus MIS, or a similar MIS systems (however, training will be provided) 

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous Estimating Experience is essential
  • Receiving enquiries and completing an estimate within the required time scales.
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel (Optimus MIS an advantage)
  • High level of numeracy
  • Liaise with production and sales teams to create a quote which is viable and acceptable to the client in terms of price.
  • Ability to communicate adeptly in writing and verbally
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, providing accurate Estimates on time
  • High standards of customer service
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Press Operators (Heidelberg SM 10 Colour Machines)

Due to significant growth we are currently looking to fill a number of vacancies in our Print Department. Ideally we are looking to recruit experienced printers to join our Weekend Night Operators on a continental shift pattern.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a Heidelberg SM 10 Colour press, be a team player, able to work in a fast pace environment and flexible in their approach, with the ability to multi task.

Experienced Print Finishers

Are you looking for your next career move?  Are you looking for a new challenge?  Do you thrive in constantly changing, forward-thinking environments?  Are you an experienced Folding or Stitching Operator? If you've answered yes to these questions we would love to hear from you.

We're growing, improving and investing all the time and we are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and loyal individuals to join our Folding and Stitching teams.

You will have experience of one or more of the following machines - Stahl, Heidelberg and/or Wohlenberg with a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to read, understand and follow instructions.

Self-motivated, you will work well as part of a diverse technical team and you will always exhibit a positive attitude leading by example.  There will be a requirement to lift heavy weights and stand for long periods of time. 

We are looking for day and night operators with day workers working 42 hours per week on a continental shift pattern, and nights will be 48 hours per week over 4 nights.

The successful candidates will be given comprehensive training and support. There are occasional requests for flexibility and/or the opportunity for overtime.
